AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
Elevate is looking for San Joaquin county students (9th-12th grade) to participate in a FREE after-school dance program and have the opportunity to explore the world of dance with Elevate Instructors. This program is sponsored and affiliated with the City of Stockton Arts Commission
WHAT’S THE PROGRAM?
20 Weekly one-hour virtual dance classes with Elevate Dance Company*
Dance class will be every Wednesday from 6-7pm
Access to learn 4 different dance styles (i.e. Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, World Modern Dance)
Education in Dance History
1 public performance or video premier in end of June
Elevate T-Shirt for performance
Requirement- Must Apply for spot (no cost for application)
Cost- No cost if selected for program
*In-Person classes may occur depending on status of Covid-19 pandemic
WHO IS THIS FOR?
We're looking for teens (9th-12th grade) in the San Joaquin County community who have never taken dance classes but are interested.
Teens who are currently NOT enrolled as a dancer at Elevate Dance Company
WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE PROGRAM?
Limited spaces in program, first come first serve, apply asap
Dance Program begins Wednesday, February 17, 2021
Ms. Joan Pasion (Hip Hop): February 15- March 12
Ms. Shawnie Sepulveda (Contemporary) : March 15- April 9
Mr. Miguel Forbes (World Modern): April 12- May 7
Ms. Courtney Saiki (Jazz/Pom): May 10- June 4
Dance Program ends June 30th
