Tap with Pamela Yasutake
EDC is proud to welcome Pamela Yasutake to our studio! Pamela is a Seattle Native Performer, Choreographer and Instructor. Widely known as a member of the Syncopated Ladies, Pamela has wooed audiences around the world performing live in sold-out concerts and in viral videos accumulating over 50 million views online.
In 2016, Pamela made her Broadway debut in the original cast of "Shuffle Along, Or, The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed". Directed by George C. Wolfe and choreographed by Savion Glover, the critically acclaimed production received ten 2016 Tony Award Nominations, including Best Musical.
Pamela's television credits include The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS), The 70th Annual Tony Awards (CBS), Maya & Marty (NBC), So You Think You Can Dance (FOX) and Good Morning America (ABC).
In 2021, Pamela worked as a core dancer on the musical film, "Spirited" starring Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer which premiered on Apple TV+ during the 2022 holiday season. She will be working with the 5th Avenue Theatre in her hometown of Seattle as both a choreographer and associate choreographer for their 2024-2025 season. Pamela continues to be a highly sought-after faculty member on countless tap festivals and dance conventions.
